All Ranges including 4A and 10A map.JPG
General Layout

The map above shows the general layout of Pine Grove Cemetery. As the cemetery expanded, it eventually encompassed fifteen ranges. More recently two additional ranges (10A and 4A) have been added by converting roads into plots. Each of these seventeen ranges are shown above and are highlighted in different colors. Also illustrated are the external and internal streets and roadways as well as the fencing and gateways into the cemetery.

High Resolution Maps

The two maps below show the cemetery in detail. The first map was produced when the cemetery was composed of fourteen ranges, which are shown in the map using the same color highlighting as in the overview map. When a fifteenth range was created, a detailed map of that are was produced. Note that the map of range fifteen is different from all of the other maps on this page in that it shows Pine Street at the top of the map instead of the bottom.

Cheetham & Cheetham Maps

As noted on the Information page, in 2005 Donald and Mark Cheetham published a document with details of the Pine Grove Cemetery. The maps used in that document are shown below, with the same range color coded used above.

Works Projects Administration Map

During the Great Depression, the Works Projects Administration (WPA) created surveys of over 500 Maine cemeteries. The map showing Pine Grove Cemetery at that time (14 ranges) can be seen on this page.
