Spreadsheet of Grave Sites

 

There are over 3500 people referenced on the various markers in Pine Grove Cemetery. These markers include family monuments, headstones, ground markers, and even benches. We have compiled a spreadsheet with all of these names along with details collected from the markers such as full name, birth date, and death date. This information is included here in two spreadsheets, one sorted by name and the other sorted by location (click to open each one in a separate tab).

To find a specific person, simply open the first spreadsheet and scroll down to find the person. If you wish to find the person within the cemetery, you can open the second spreadsheet and scroll down to the location as shown in the first spreadsheet. This will show you the surrounding markers for the person.

The Maps page contains a number of maps which show the ranges, maps, and plots referred to in the spreadsheet.

 

Cheetham and Cheetham Document

The primary source for the spreadsheet is from a survey of all of the stoneware in the cemetery done in 2005 by father and son Donald and Mark Cheetham. This amazing document divided the ranges into smaller maps and then numbered and detailed each monument and gravestone in each map. And online version of this document is available curtesy of the Curtis Memorial Library. In a number of cases, there is information in this Cheetham and Cheetham document which is too extensive to include in the gravesite spreadsheet. In such cases the spreadsheet notes that there is additional detail in the original document (Ch&Ch).

This information contained in the Cheetham and Cheetham document was compiled into a spreadsheet by mother/daughter volunteers Dorothy Colwell and Jane Colwell. The listing is alphabetized by name and details death date, age, and other information. Unfortunately, it does not show location from the Cheetham and Cheetham document.

We have now expanded this spreadsheet to include location information (range, map, and marker) and other information such as birth date. We have also added over 100 new entries for recent additions and have updated a number of the existing names with recent death dates.​​
